Hand knitted blanket, size of a Full bed.

A recreation of my childhood hand and footprint along with my name in Chinese characters on the bottom left. This piece was created to rethink the purpose and usage of the hand and footprint that has been with our family ever since I was born. For most of the time, it either sits on a shelf or is put away into boxes during moves. Even though it reminds us how time has passed and how little I used to be whenever we walk past and look at it, but it only lasts for a minute and we go on about our own business again.

By recreating it into a cozy blanket with my favorite color, it brings practical functionality and a sense of home into a cherishable object that is meaningful but served no particular function.
